In a remarkable feat, the American Embassy in India has set a record by approving an astonishing 90,000 student visas in the last three months. This remarkable figure signifies India's substantial contribution, constituting a quarter of the global student visa recipients, further emphasizing India's aspiration for international education.

The Announcement was made by the US Embassy in India through a Twitter post on a Monday, expressing their delight in sharing this significant achievement.

Notably, Throughout the months of June, July, and August this year, the American Embassy disclosed that they have successfully processed and granted over 90,000 student visas. The embassy also took a moment to congratulate Indian students on their choice of pursuing higher education in the United States, fostering academic and cultural exchanges.

US Ambassador to India, Eric Garcetti, recently shared positive developments in the visa process. He mentioned a substantial reduction, a 50 percent decrease, in the waiting time for tourist visa interviews, highlighting improvements in the system's efficiency.

Ambassador Garcetti further stated that the objective is to process a minimum of one million visas by the year 2023. During a speech at IIT Delhi, he underscored that the India-US visa process has never been as expedited as it is now. Recent bilateral efforts have prioritized streamlining the visa process, simplifying procedures to enhance collaboration and educational opportunities between the two nations.
