Pope Francis Death Latest News Today: Pope Francis, who recently made a public appearance at St. Peter’s Square in the Vatican to wish thousands of people a “Happy Easter,” has passed away following a lengthy illness.

According to information, Pope Francis died Monday morning. Cardinal Kevin Ferrell, the Vatican camerlengo, announced in this regard.

“At 7:35 this morning, the Bishop of Rome, Francis, returned to the home of the Father. His entire life was dedicated to the service of the Lord and of his Church", Farrell said in the announcement.

Notably, Pope Francis has died at the age of 88.
