Scorching Heat to Continue for Next 5 Years, United Nations Issued an Alert
United Nations has issued a warning of Rising Temperature
GENEVA: The Global Temperature is likely to rise in the next five years. As per the report, people have to face the hottest summer between the year 2023 and 2027. It is also being estimated that there will be a year in these five years which will break the temperature record of 2016.
The World Meteorological Organization of the United Nations has said that the global temperature is close to exceeding the target set in the Paris Climate Agreement. In fact, the annual mean temperature for the year 2016 was 1.28 degrees Celsius, which was higher than in pre-industrial times (average period 1850-1900).
It is worth mentioning here that the United Nations has issued a warning of rising temperatures due to greenhouse gases and El Niño. Temperatures are likely to rise further due to the acceleration of climate change. Global temperature in 2022 was 1.15 degrees Celsius above the 1850-1900 average. Apart from this, the change in weather can be attributed the most responsibility for the intense heat in April.
