Donald Trump Attack News: Joe Bidens Directs Independent Review of National Security

Joe Biden on Trump attack news: The United States was shocked after former President Donald Trump was attacked by an assailant. The Former President Trump was escorted off stage by Secret Service agents following a series of gunshots during a rally on Saturday in Butler, Pennsylvania.

The attempted assassination of Donald Trump came just days before the Republican National Convention. It highlighted rampant fears of political violence and underscored scrutiny of the Secret Service's ability to protect against such attacks.

In the meanwhile, US President Joe Biden also reacted to the same. In his remark from the white house on Sunday, Biden said, "I've directed an independent review of the national security at Saturday rally to assess exactly what happened."

There is a social post of Trump which he posted on Saturday. He said, "shot with a bullet" that pierced his upper right ear. The alleged shooter, Thomas Matthew Crooks, and a former fire chief attending the rally, Corey Comperatore, were both killed.

According to the police, two men named David Dutch, 57, and James Copenhaver, 74, were both injured in the attack and are said to be in stable condition,

The firing was done multiple times on the stage from an elevated position outside of the rally venue, as per Secret Service Communications Chief Anthony Guglielmi.  Also, there was blood on his face after he was brought to his feet by secret service agents. The crowd at the rally quickly evacuated after this firing.

The "Secret Service has implemented protective measures and the former president is safe," Guglielmi said earlier Saturday.
