Using the social media platform X, the Prime Minister conveyed his best wishes to Mr. Rahman for leading his party to such a major electoral win.

According to Prime Minister Modi, the results of the election serve as a clear reflection of the confidence and trust that the citizens of Bangladesh have placed in Tarique Rahman’s leadership. Looking toward the future, the Indian Prime Minister expressed his eagerness to collaborate with the new leadership to further the shared development objectives of both nations.

Furthermore, PM Modi emphasised that India remains committed to supporting a Bangladesh that is democratic, inclusive, and progressive. He noted that he looks forward to working closely with Mr. Rahman to enhance the multifaceted relationship between the two neighbouring countries.
