NEW YORK: Billionaire Elon Musk has announced that he is resigning as the CEO of Twitter. Musk said that he has found a person for the post of CEO of Twitter. However, the name has not been announced yet. Musk, the owner of the microblogging platform, has indicated that the new CEO of Twitter will be a woman.

Elon Musk tweeted on Thursday, "Excited to announce that I’ve hired a new CEO for X/Twitter. She will be starting in ~6 weeks! My role will transition to being executive chairman & Chief Technology Officer, overseeing product, software & sysops."

Talking about the major update, Elon Musk gave a big hint to the users by tweeting at the end of last month. He had said that users will have to pay a fee on a per article basis. He said that if users do not sign up for a monthly subscription, they will have to pay more to read articles. Earlier, Musk had announced the removal of Blue Tick from the verified account. He had said that users who will not pay for Blue Tick will not get it.
