London: Widespread use of face masks combined with physical distancing and some lockdown can lower Covid-19 transmission and may prevent a second wave of novel coronavirus infections, according to the researchers.
Studies have shown that home-made low-impact masks can also be beneficial. "Our analysis suggests that people should use masks immediately and globally," said Richard Stutt, a researcher at Cambridge University in the United Kingdom.
