Former PM of Pakistan Imran Khan Arrested outside Islamabad HC

ISLAMABAD: Police has arrested Pakistan's former Prime Minister Imran Khan. He went to the Islamabad High Court for the appearance. Pakistani Rangers escorted him out of the court. Imran Khan had reached the High Court for bail plea in many cases.

Imran Khan's lawyer Faisal Chaudhary has confirmed the arrest. The leader of Khan's party, Masrat Chowdhury, said, "Khan Sabh was severely tortured in front of me. I'm afraid he might get killed. The video of Imran's lawyer has also been shared on the party's official Twitter account." The party said that Imran was severely beaten outside the High Court.

Imran has been arrested in the Al Qadir Trust case. This is a matter related to the university. As Prime Minister, Imran illegally gave land worth crores of rupees to this university. Malik Riaz, the richest personality of Pakistan, has disclosed this matter.

He had alleged that Imran and his wife got land worth billions of rupees in their name by showing fear of arrest. Later an audio of the conversation between Riaz and his daughter was leaked. In this, Riaz's daughter said that Imran's wife Bushra Bibi is constantly asking him for a five carat diamond ring. On this Riaz said that if she does everything then give her a five carat ring.
