According to Mayor Patrick Brown, the city received reports from residents that someone had “desecrated” sacred Sikh scriptures from Gurudwara Dasmesh Darbar, located on Ebenezer Rd near The Gore Rd.
He tweeted, "We have gotten reports from residents that someone took sacred Sikh Scriptures from Gurudwara Dasmesh Darbar and desecrated them. We have asked @PeelPolice to look into this matter immediately. I hope those responsible are brought to justice and held accountable. @iHarkiratSingh.
As per the police, the incident happened this Wednesday.
There is currently no suspect description and the investigation is underway, police official said.
