Putin Highlights Strong Political Relations & Rapid Development in India under PM Modi's Guidance

Russian President Putin with PM Modi

Russian President Vladimir Putin has once again voiced his admiration for Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi, emphasizing Modi's astuteness and lauding India's advancement under his leadership. Putin affirmed the strong political relations between Russia and India, emphasizing the mutual interest in the ongoing progress of both nations.

During an address at the Olympiad on financial security, Putin expressed hope for collaborative efforts between Russia and India in the domains of financial security and cybercrime. Acknowledging the historical friendship and partnership between the two nations, he reiterated the commitment to pursuing agendas that benefit both countries.

This endorsement from Putin comes in the wake of the New Delhi Declaration, where India, about a month ago, focused on establishing peace in Ukraine during the G-20 summit. Despite not placing blame on Russia for the conflict, Moscow supported the declaration and appreciated India's chairmanship of the G20.

Putin's praise for India and Prime Minister Modi is not new. Just last month, he commended PM Modi for actively promoting the 'Make in India' initiative. While addressing the media at the 8th Eastern Economic Forum (EEF) in Vladivostok, Putin applauded India's efforts to manufacture cars domestically, encouraging the use of locally made vehicles. Putin urged his nation to follow India's example and prioritize domestic products, emphasizing the importance of encouraging the use of Russian-made vehicles.

In an earlier statement in June, Putin commended India for its proactive approach in attracting foreign companies to operate within the country, highlighting India as a nation that actively encourages companies to invest and work within its borders.
