LOS ANGELES: In a devastating air tragedy, a small plane crashed in a remote area of Utah, resulting in the loss of four lives, including North Dakota State Senator Doug Larsen, his wife, Amy, and their two children. The incident occurred on Sunday night shortly after the plane took off from Canyonlands Regional Airport in Moab, Utah.

The Grand County Sheriff's Office confirmed the tragic news, expressing their condolences and reporting the crash on their Facebook page. The single-engine Piper PA-28 aircraft crashed at approximately 8:20 pm on Sunday, as confirmed by the US Federal Aviation Administration (FAA).

North Dakota Governor Doug Burgum, deeply saddened by the accident, released a statement on Monday expressing grief over the loss of Senator Doug Larsen, his wife Amy, and their two young children. The FAA and the US National Transportation Safety Board (NTSB) will conduct a thorough investigation into the plane crash in Utah under the direction of the NTSB, aiming to determine the cause of the tragedy.
