Donald Trump Issues Stern Ultimatum to Volodymyr Zelenskyy on Russia-Ukraine War

Washington, D.C.: In a bold and direct ultimatum, U.S. President Donald Trump made it clear to Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy that he must strike a deal to end the Russia-Ukraine war or risk losing American support.

"You are either going to make a deal, or we're out," Trump stated firmly during a meeting at the Oval Office. He acknowledged that Zelenskyy may have had disputes with previous U.S. administrations but maintained that he had no broken agreements with him.

Trump further suggested that Ukraine's strength in the conflict was largely due to U.S. backing, saying, "I have empowered you to be a tough guy. Without the United States, I don't think you would be a tough guy. If we are out, you will have to fight it out, and I don’t think it’s going to be pretty."

Emphasizing Ukraine’s lack of leverage, Trump warned, "You don't have the cards. But once we sign that deal, you’ll be in a better position. However, you’re not acting thankful, and that’s not a nice thing."

The tension reportedly escalated into a heated confrontation involving Trump, Zelenskyy, and Vice President JD Vance, witnessed by White House officials and members of the press. The dramatic standoff led to the abrupt cancellation of a scheduled joint press conference.

A visibly grim-faced Zelenskyy left the West Wing more than two hours after his arrival, signaling the strain in U.S.-Ukraine relations.
