Uttarakhand CM Dhami Launches Campaign Aimed at Uplifting Marginalised Communities

Uttarakhand CM Dhami Launches Campaign Aimed at Uplifting Marginalised Communities Latest News: Uttarakhand Chief Minister Pushkar Singh Dhami flagged off the ‘Dr. Bhimrao Ambedkar Social Welfare Multipurpose Camp Rath’ from the CM Camp Office on Monday, 29 September 2025.

The initiative is aimed at ensuring that marginalised communities, such as Scheduled Castes, Scheduled Tribes, and Other Backward Classes, gain access to government welfare schemes, are informed about them, and are successfully integrated into the mainstream.

Speaking to the media, CM Dhami said that the Uttarakhand government has launched this “campaign aimed at reaching out to the poor,” and that it will run for 125 days.

Approximately 240 camps will be organised across blocks, gram sabhas, panchayats, tehsils, and districts under this campaign to address local issues and provide on-the-spot solutions.

"Officers at all levels will participate, ensuring that people do not have to travel far for assistance," Dhami said.

He further added, "The campaign will simplify, resolve, and expedite issues in line with the principles of Babasaheb Ambedkar and the vision of Prime Minister Narendra Modi."

"The goal is to ensure that marginalised sections of society, Scheduled Castes, Tribes, and Backward Classes, who often lack access to government schemes, are well-informed, receive the benefits they are entitled to, and are effectively integrated into the mainstream," the Chief Minister said.
