Uttarakhand Weather Updates today: Dehradun – The India Meteorological Department (IMD), Met Centre Dehradun, on Thursday issued an orange alert for Bageshwar district, while a yellow alert has been issued for the remaining 12 districts of Uttarakhand, warning of heavy rainfall, thunderstorms, lightning, squall, and strong surface winds, according to its latest updates.
As per the IMD, heavy rain is likely to occur at isolated places in Chamoli, Rudraprayag, and Pithoragarh districts.
Additionally, thunderstorms accompanied by intense to very intense spells of rain are likely at isolated places in the hilly districts of the state. In some hilly regions, thunderstorms alone are also expected to occur at isolated locations.
Nowcast
At the time of filing this report, the Nowcast issued by the Met Centre, valid up to 6 PM today, places six districts under a yellow alert. These districts are Uttarkashi, Chamoli, Pauri Gharwal, Almora, Nainital and Champawat.
There is no weather alert currently in place for the remaining districts under the Nowcast.

In the past 24 hours, Khatima station reported the highest temperature in the state of 33.0 degree celcius and the maximum rainfall of 25.0 mm was also recorded at the same station.

On June 27, the IMD has issued an orange alert for Bageshwar and Nainital districts, forecasting heavy to very heavy rainfall.
Meanwhile, heavy rain is likely to occur at isolated places in Rudraprayag, Chamoli, Dehradun, Tehri, Pauri, Champawat, and Pithoragarh districts.
Thunderstorms accompanied by intense to very intense spells of rain are likely to occur at isolated places in the hilly districts of Uttarakhand, and thunderstorms alone are also likely to occur at isolated places in all districts of Uttarakhand
