PM Modi to Soon Attend Silver Jubilee Celebrations in Dehradun; 1 Lakh People Expected to Join

An estimated one lakh people are expected to attend the Silver Jubilee celebrations at the Forest Research Institute (FRI) in Dehradun on Sunday, marking 25 years since the formation of the Uttarakhand state.

The main event will be graced by Prime Minister Narendra Modi and Chief Minister Pushkar Singh Dhami. Grand arrangements have been made at the Forest Research Institute for the occasion.

The Prime Minister will be welcomed with traditional drums and cultural performances.

The Prime Minister, earlier this morning, in a post on his X, extended his best wishes to the people of Uttarakhand, saying the state is progressing in every field, along with the tourism sector. 

"On the 25th anniversary of the establishment of Uttarakhand, I extend my heartfelt best wishes to all my brothers and sisters of the state. Nestled in the lap of nature, our this divine land is today gaining a new pace of progress in every field, along with tourism. On this special occasion of the state, I pray for the happiness and prosperity, good fortune, and excellent health of the humble, hardworking, and divine-like people here," PM Modi posted on X.

Defence Minister Rajanth Singh also congratulated the people of the state on the occasion. 

"Heartfelt congratulations to all the residents of the state on the Silver Jubilee year of the establishment of the Uttarakhand state. May this land of amazing natural beauty and rich culture continue to reach new heights of continuous progress, peace, and prosperity in the coming years—this is the prayer to God," the union minister wrote in a post on X.
