Uttarakhand To Develop Ropeways In Kedarnath & Hemkund Sahib, Boosting Tourism & Mobility

Uttarakhand To Develop Ropeways In Kedarnath & Hemkund Sahib Latest News: An agreement was signed between the state government and National Highway Logistics Management Limited (NHLML) for the development of ropeways in Kedarnath and Hemkund Sahib under the Parvatmala project at the Secretariat on Tuesday in the presence of Chief Minister Pushkar Singh Dhami.

According to ANI, under this agreement, NHLML will have 51 percent, and the state government will have a 49% share in equity participation. Under the revenue sharing, 90% of the amount will be spent in the field of tourism, transport, and mobility in the state of Uttarakhand. Minister of State for Road Transport and Highways, Government of India, Ajay Tamta, and Uttarakhand Tourism Minister Satpal Maharaj were also present on the occasion of this agreement.

Chief Minister Pushkar Singh Dhami said that the agreement will ‘pave the way for new opportunities in tourism, employment, environmental conservation, and infrastructure, while giving a new identity to the state's religious and cultural heritage on the global stage.’

Union Minister of State @AjayTamtaBJP Ji and the Cabinet Minister @satpalmaharajJi were also present at the occasion.
