Rishabh Thakur, main accused in Bareilly café attack, releases video seeking ‘Uchit Karwaye' from CM Yogi
Another user slammed him for using Hinduism as an excuse for his “perverted frustration.”
Bareilly Birthday Party Attack: Rishabh Thakur, the main accused in the attack on a café in Bareilly, where right-wing Hindu men assaulted people attending a birthday party, accusing them of “love jihad,” has released a video justifying the attack and appealing to Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath for an “Uchit Karwaye” in the case.
In the video, the accused claimed that despite an alleged case of “love jihad,” the police registered a case against him. He said that he and his friends fight for Hindus and added that six of his friends have been sent to jail in connection with the birthday party attack.
He further stated that he “did not do anything wrong.” Referring to atrocities against minorities in Bangladesh, he questioned how acting against alleged “love jihad” cases in Uttar Pradesh could be considered wrong.
Subsequently, he appealed to the Chief Minister of Uttar Pradesh, requesting appropriate action in the case and stating that he is ready to provide evidence. He also sought support from his “Hindu brothers.”
Meanwhile, people questioned his audacity in the comment section, criticising him for interfering in people’s personal lives.

During the police investigation, it was established that there was no case of "love jihad" as claimed by Rishabh Thakur in the birthday party hosted by a nursing student for his friends, including two Muslim friends.
In a surprising turn of events, the UP Police had earlier registered cases against the two Muslim friends for allegedly disrupting peace. However, it was only after a widespread online outrage that the police acted against the attacks, including Rishabh Thakur.
Rishabh Thakur is expelled from Bairang Dal a couple of days ahead of the incident. Following the incident, Rishabh Thakur, Bareilly unit, in a video statement, stated that the organisation has nothing to do with the person and he is responsible for his own actions.
