Noida techie death case: The Greater Noida Police Commissioner’s team has arrested Abhay Singh, CEO of MZ Wiztown Planners, in connection with the death of engineer Yuvraj.
Yuvraj died after emergency responders allegedly failed to rescue him when his car plunged into a water-filled pit on the night of December 16.
The car has not yet been retrieved from the site, even four days after the accident. Efforts are underway to locate the car.
Bhanu Bhaskar, ADG, Meerut Zone and SIT Team Head, along with other members of the SIT, are present at the spot at the construction site in Sector 150 of Greater Noida, ANI reported.
Yesterday, in a major action, the CEO of Noida and the Managing Director of the Noida Metro Rail Corporation (NMRC) were removed from their respective posts following the formation of a three-member Special Investigation Team (SIT) to probe the incident.
Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath took cognisance of the accident on Tuesday.
On the Chief Minister’s instructions, a three-member SIT, led by the ADG, Meerut Zone, was constituted to investigate the case.
The Divisional Commissioner, Meerut, and the Chief Engineer, PWD, are also members of the SIT and have been directed to submit their report to the Chief Minister within five days.
