Uttar Pradesh: Farmer dresses up as bear to scare away Monkeys, to save crops

In Uttar Pradesh’s Firozpur village in Sambhal district, in a unique bid to scare away monkeys feeding on crops, farmers dress up as bears.
Dharambir, one of the farmers, claimed that there were around 100 monkeys causing a menace in the village and eating crops.
"Monkeys cause a menace and eat potatoes and strawberries from our fields. There must be more than 100 monkeys here,” Dharambir said, talking to news agency ANI.
He stated that this happens every day, and when farmers dress up as bears, the monkeys run away.
Dharambir urged authorities to find a solution to the issue and added that he, along with a few others, dresses up as a bear to save the crops.
