Three arrested for selling fake 'Beti Bachao Beti Padhao' forms

Three arrested for selling fake 'Beti Bachao Beti Padhao' forms today in a village near Gurdaspur. These persons were selling each forms for Rs 200 in the neighbouring village near Gurdaspur.

The accused were cheating people by claiming that this scheme would credit Rs2 lakh each into the accounts of those filling the forms. The accused has been identified as Amandeep Singh, Gurdev Singh and Jagdeesh Singh.

Deputy Commissioner Amit Kumar had issued a message in local newspapers, warning shop owners not to cheat residents. The SSP said that in the fake form, people are asked to give Aadhaar card and bank account details. Adding on, he said that he will see to it if these information of the people are not being misused and has also urged people to not fall in this trap.
