Chandigarh: The Punjab Government would formally launch “Ghar Ghar Rozgar”, its employment Mission on September 5 at SAS Nagar. The launch will be kicked off with an Employers Meet at ISB, SAS Nagar from 11 AM to 1 PM to be followed by State level Job Fair at GMADA Stadium, SAS Nagar from 2:30 PM to 4 PM.
Divulging the details, a Spokesperson said that the
Employers Meet will serve as a platform to get insights from the Industry and
Employers on various aspects of employment generation strategies. The objective
of this initiative is to have wide ranging conversation with the Industry
directly in exploring the existing opportunities and creating future
opportunities for employment.
He said that the conference will draw Employers from different segments MSME, Large and Mega Industry and different sectors of industry such as manufacturing, construction, retail, food processing, hospitality, IT etc.
The Event will have participation from the leading industry experts like Ms. Isher Judge Ahluwalia, Chairperson, India Council for Research on International Economics, Mr. KrishIyer, India CEO, Walmart, Mr. Shri Paul Oswal, Chairman, Vardhman Textiles Ltd., Mr. Rajinder Gupta, Chairman, Trident Group Mr. Sandeep Jain, Executive Director, Monte Carlo and etc.
The key themes covered during the event will be Lessons for Punjab from successful economies to meet the challenges of unemployment, MSMEs as a growth engine for employment, Banking and financial services – Opportunities for Punjabi youth, Food processing industries – Unlocking the great potential and many more.
Punjab government is working on
evolving a comprehensive strategy in this regard and promising to provide jobs for all sections of the society, jobs in all sectors of the economy, increasing thrust on Start-ups and entrepreneurship and aligning sectoral policies with job creation.
