Complaints from various districts in this regard had reached him and he said he would not allow the position of the elected representatives to be undermined in any manner.

The prevention of terror-related crime was his priority and he ordered all SSPs and CPs to lead from the front in combating such threats. The CM ordered all-out efforts to solve undetected cases such as Maur bomb blast (January 31), murder of Mata Chand Kaur (Bhaini Sahib) and attack on Dhadrianwale in Ludhiana.

He also said there would be zero-tolerance to handling sacrilege cases. Senior officers were directed to have CCTV cameras installed through community participation.
