Chandigarh: ‘Educationist should build the capacities of the spirit of inquiry, creativity, entrepreneurial and moral leadership among students and become their role model’, said Late Dr. A.P.J Abdul Kalam, which truly exemplifies the inspirational persona of the Principal Vineeta Arora who has been conferred with the prestigious National Award for Teachers 2016 for her meritorious services for the cause of Education by the Vice President Shri Venkaiah Naidu on September, 5, 2017 at the Award Ceremony held at Vigyan Bhawan, New Delhi.
Instituted in the Year 1958 and given by the President on September, 5, which is celebrated as Teacher’s Day to commemorate Dr Sarvepalli Radhakrishnan’s birthday, the award serves to give public recognition to meritorious teachers working in primary, middle and secondary schools.
Vineeta Arora has around 28 years of teaching experience to her credit and has been at the helm of the institution since 2008. She has numerous other awards to her credit which include the coveted CBSE Award for Teachers-2014, International Women’s Day Award by Gurukul Vidyapeeth 2015, Social Action Award for Excellence in Health Awareness by IDF 2014, Best Principal Award by Young Bulls Education for consistent efforts in spreading Financial Literacy in the Region 2012, Shiksha Ratan for Outstanding Achievement in the Field of Education by Jagannath Pahadia, Governor of Haryana in 2013.
She has been recently designated as the Sr. Principal in recognition of her excellent leadership and managerial skills which have taken the school to great heights and ensured stellar performance by the students in the CBSE Board Examinations year after year.
