Chandigarh: Centre for Industry Institute Partnership Programme (CIIPP) of Panjab University(PU) took the onus of facilitating signing of Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) between UIET, PU and Semiconductor laboratory (SCL) Mohali, an autonomous body under Department of Space, Government of India signed a MoU on September, 4, 2017 at PU.
Professor Auran Kumar Grover, Vice-chancellor, PU and Surinder Singh, Director, SCL, Mohali signed the MoU. Professor Renu Vig, Director, UIET, Professor OP Katare, Director Research promotion cell and other dignitaries of PU and SCL were present during the signing of this MOU. Centre for Industry Institute Partnership Programme (CIIPP) of Panjab University took the onus of facilitating the signing of this MOU.
The main objective aim of the MOU is to promote ‘Exchange Programmes’ for academics and research of mutual interest for the faculty and students of both these organisations. This would enable collaboration in teaching, research and development and consultancy activities. Both the institutions shall have a greater access to facilities such as the library, teaching and research materials.
MoU is for a period of ten years. It has been decided to kick start the collaboration with the mutual lab visits of faculties and staff. In order to deliberate upon the areas of mutual interest, a ‘one-day seminar’ shall be organised jointly during November 2017.
