Against VVIP racism

Punjab CM Captain Amarinder said at news conference here that there would be no sirens, hooters on VIP vehicles. The measure is part of the Amarinder government's poll promise to end VIP culture.

Job Fair for Youth

CM Amarinder Singh announced that 50,000 Punjab youths would be given jobs in the first phase of his government plan to fulfil poll promises of a job in each household of the state. A job fair has been planned for the purpose in August, 2017 in which leading companies will select the eligible youths for placements.

 

Industry Policy

Chief Minister Amarinder Singh also announced that the new industry, transport policy for Punjab would be unveiled soon. The government has decided to set up 16 new industrial parks across the state to boost industrial activity, he added.
