CM mocked at former CM Parkash Singh Badal
After casting his vote, Capt Amarinder Singh interacted with media. While answering a question of the media that that the former CM Parkash Singh Badal criticizing the ruling Congress government, Capt Amarinder Singh mocked at the erstwhile Punjab CM.
He said, “What do you think, he will appreciate me? He is ‘Baba’ and he will say it.” The incumbent CM termed the former CM as ‘Baba’.
CM: Let the results come out, everything would be cleared.
Answering the question that the SAD is repeatedly saying that voting for Congress is useless as the candidate would lose the elections, Capt Amarinder Singh said, “Let the results come out. Everything will be cleared. They used to claim that they will rule for 25 years but the peoples mandate kept their mouths shut.”
Parminder Dhindsa’s vote cancelled
Interesting incident happened when the vote of former Punjab Finance Minister and incumbent SAD MLA Parminder Singh Dhindsa cancelled. Dhindsa said that his pen fell down on the ballot paper and it didn't mark correctly so he aked for another ballot paper but he was refused by the officer.
Vote of Simarjit Singh Bains cancelled, Bains filed complaint against Returning Officer
Controversy erupted in presidential election when Lok Insaf Party MLA Simranjit Bains alleged that his vote has been declared cancelled as he stated that Returning Officer said that he folded ballot paper in a wrong manner. Bains said that he filed a complaint against the returning officer because of that she might have taken revenge because of it.
