Fatehgarh Sahib: Adhering to the decision taken by the interim committee of the SGPC during its meeting on March 7 at Fatehgarh Sahib, the SGPC has shunted out 523 out of the 700 employees recruited by former SGPC president Kirpal Singh Badungar during his tenure.

Gobind Singh Longowal, president, SGPC, had come to preside over the function organised to mark the 14th death anniversary of the late Jathedar Gurcharn Singh Tohra.

He said the SGPC received various complaints regarding the recruitments after which, a four-member committee under the chairmanship of Raghujit Singh Virk, senior vice president, was constituted and the committee found that most of the appointments were made against the law. The report was discussed at the interim committee meeting and the decision was taken to remove them.
