Air India to launch non-stop flights from Amritsar to Birmingham next year

News, Punjab

Air India has announced to launch non-stop flights from Amritsar to Birmingham early next year. Rajya Sabha MP Shwait Malik said Air India would run two flights per week.

The national carrier currently operates a flight from Amritsar to Birmingham via New Delhi. Malik said, “The move will give a fillip to tourism and trade. It would also benefit local passengers as earlier they had to wait for at least two hours during the halt in Delhi.”
