Six-Month-Old Infant Dies in Hospital; Family Alleges Gross Negligence

Ludhiana News: A six-month-old infant died at a private hospital near Shingar Cinema in Ludhiana in Punjab. The family has accused the hospital of gross negligence and alleged that a staff member administered the wrong medicine.

Sonia, the child’s mother, stated that the infant was admitted to the hospital three days ago after experiencing chest pain. She said the child’s health condition was improving. However, yesterday, when the infant cried for some time, the medical staff began administering medicine.

Following this, Sonia said the child fell asleep, and she also slept as she was tired. However, this morning, when the medical staff came to check on the infant, the child did not respond. When the mother checked herself, she found that the child was unresponsive.

Based on the family’s complaint, the police have initiated an investigation. The police stated that they are questioning the hospital management regarding the cause of death and the staff member who administered the medicine.

The police assured that appropriate action will be taken after the investigation.
