Soldiers Martyred in Ladakh: Punjab Chief Minister Bhagwant Mann Expresses Condolences

Punjab Chief Minister Bhagwant Mann on Thursday morning expressed heartfelt condolences to the families of the soldiers who lost their lives in a tragic road accident in Ladakh on Wednesday.

In a post on X, Chief Minister Mann wrote, “We express our heartfelt sympathy to the families of the martyred soldiers and pray for the speedy recovery of those injured. The government will provide every possible assistance to the families, as promised.”

Lieutenant Colonel Bhanu Pratap Singh and Lance Dafadar Daljeet Singh lost their lives when a boulder from a cliff fell on their vehicle which was a part of an Army convoy, moving from Durbuk to Chongtash at around 11:30 AM.

Thirty-three-year-old Lieutenant Colonel Bhanu Pratap Singh was from Pathankot, Punjab, while Havildar Daljeet Singh hailed from the village of Shamsherpur in Gurdaspur district, Punjab.

Three other soldiers injured in the accident have been identified as Major Mayank Shubham, Major Amit Dixit, and Captain Gaurav.

The injured soldiers were shifted to an Army hospital in Leh for treatment following the tragic incident.
