Artificial Intelligence Device AI Software will start in govt health institutions of 7 districts

Tuberculosis

Ludhiana: Artificial Intelligence Device AI (Qure.ai) software is now being used to treat Tuberculosis in Punjab. This will provide relief to the patients. Although this software is already running in many private hospitals. Due to the increasing number of TB patients, the health department is going to use Artificial Intelligence Device AI in government hospitals as well.

Notably, This software will be started in government health institutions of 7 districts of the state under the pilot project. These include Ludhiana, Amritsar, Bathinda, Jalandhar, Mansa, Ropar and Tarn Taran. This facility is being provided to those areas where the number of patients is high. This app will be installed in the mobile of the radiologist who performs X-ray of the patient. With this, a T.B patient will be diagnosed immediately.

The TB officer of Ludhiana said that this project has already started in Khanna Civil Hospital, where there is neither a radiologist nor a pulmonologist. The number of patients is also high here. “Qure.ai" is an artificial intelligence-based chest X-ray interpretation software that can detect TB and can help in screening.

It is worth mentioning here that there is a shortage of radiologists in Ludhiana district. There are only two government radiologists, one in Ludhiana Civil Hospital and the other in Samrala Civil Hospital. In such a case, this project can prove to be very beneficial here.
