Punjab Bandh Today, PRTC Bus Strike, Farmers Protest Live Updates Latest News: Punjab observes a statewide bandh today, from 7 am to 4 pm, called by the Kisan Mazdoor Morcha (KMM) and Samyukt Kisan Morcha (SKM) (non-political). The protest supports farmer leader Jagjit Singh Dallewal, who has been on a hunger strike for over a month, demanding reforms, including a legal guarantee for Minimum Support Price (MSP).

3:37 PM | During today's Punjab Bandh, farmers staged protests on major national highways across the state, leading to extensive traffic congestion and long queues of vehicles. The resulting jams have left commuters increasingly frustrated.

3:14 PM | The Punjab Bandh had a significant impact in Jalandhar, with the city’s main markets remaining closed and public transportation coming to a halt. Both buses and trains were non-operational, leaving passengers stranded at bus stands and railway stations, waiting for the bandh to conclude so they could continue their journeys.

2:05 PM | Farmers staged a blockade near Zirakpur and Derabassi at the Chandigarh-Delhi national highway.  

1:35 PM | Majority areas in Punjab witnessed a huge impact of Punjab Bandh as transportation, and railways were affected while shops were closed due to the same. 

12:20 PM | Chandigarh remains unimpacted as no impact of the Punjab Bandh call was seen in Chandigarh. The rural areas of Punjab are the ones that are most affected.

12:07 PM | Ambala-Chandigarh expressway has been blocked at Dappar toll due to which the route has been diverted. 

11:50 AM | Amid the Punjab Bandh, farmers are also serving Tea to the travellers stuck in the way. 

11:38 AM | The main markets in all districts of Punjab have been closed. Blockades were installed at the Landra Chowk, Chuni, Banur, and Kharar in Mohali.
