AAP Protest in Chandigarh: Ravneet Bittu Calls AAP's protest a 'drama'

AAP Protest Today, Ravneet Bittu Latest News: Amid protests by Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) workers outside the BJP office in Chandigarh over alleged delays in paddy procurement, Union Minister of State Ravneet Bittu has criticized the demonstration as mere "drama." He contended that AAP is diverting attention away from its failures by blaming the BJP.

Bittu suggested that the protesters would be better off directing their grievances towards the mandis, where procurement is conducted, rather than staging protests in Chandigarh.

"They are wasting their time by protesting in Chandigarh. The farmers' festival depends on its crops," he stated. His remarks reflect a growing frustration with AAP's handling of the procurement issue, especially considering that the state reportedly has Rs 44,000 crore available for agricultural support yet has made little progress in facilitating timely procurement.

The protest escalated when AAP Minister Harjot Bains faced a distressing incident where his turban was removed during the clash with police, highlighting the tensions surrounding the event. Bittu condemned the incident as unnecessary theatrics and reiterated that AAP needs to take responsibility for the situation rather than blaming others. As the situation unfolds, both parties appear to be at an impasse, with farmers caught in the middle of the political struggle.
