Dhindsa sacrificed his career for sins of Badals

Punjab Pradesh Congress Committee President and MP from Gurdaspur Mr. Sunil Jakhar today said that former Union Minister Mr Sukhdev Singh Dhindsa has sacrificed his political career due to misdeeds of Badals towards the Punjab state in general and Sikh panth in particular. In a statement issued here today Mr Jakhar said that Sukhbir Singh Badal should have resigned for his misdeeds with the Panth, but Mr. Sukhdev Singh Dhindsa has proved with his resignation that his conscience is still alive.

Mr. Jakhar along with the Cabinet Minister Mr. Sukhjinder Singh Randhawa today shared the grief with the family of martyr Lance Naik Sandeep Singh at his native village Kotla Khurad in Gurdaspur district who had died during the encounter with the terrorists in Jammu Kashmir last days. Mr. Jakhar said that the resignation of Mr. Dhindsa is an internal matter of the Akali Dal but by doing so, Dhindsa has proved that his conscience is awakening and he has pain for the Panth.

He said that the Badal family, who did his all politics on the name of Panth, had stabbed in the back of the Panth so many times during his political career. He said that Mr. Badal has talked about sacrifice many times during his political career but every time he used to take political sacrifices of people who came to the political path of his or his son. He said that Mr. Dhindsa's resignation is also the sequel to such sacrifices.

Mr. Jakhar said that due to the political intervention of the former Chief Minister Mr. Parkash Singh Badal and the former Deputy Chief Minister and the President of Shiromani Akali Dal Mr. Sukhbir Singh Badal in the Panthic institutions, the Badal family damaged the authority of such panthic institution. He said that due to the anti-panthic activities of Badal family, Dhindsa had to be forced to resign on the call of his internal voice. He said that Mr. Dhindsa's resignation has once again proved that due to the misdeeds of the SAD’s top leadership, not only the common man but its own leaders are also upset.

He said that it would have been good if the Badal family itself come forward to apologize for their acts against panth and on this occasion showed the courage of giving the responsibility of this historical party to any competent leader. He said that Mr. Dhindsa's resignation would serve as a motivation for the people of the conscience awakened in the Akali Dal. On this occasion, Mr. Sunil Jakhar paid tributes to Sandeep Singh and said that the country is proud of its heroic sons who are protecting the country's borders by sacrificing their lives.

Mr. Jakhar said that on one hand, the Modi government was doing politics in the name of the surgical strikes; On the other hand, due to the failed foreign and security policies of the Modi government, the infiltration and Firing incidents across the LoC had increased after the surgical strike. Mr. Jakhar said that in 2014 Pakisatan had violated ceasefire 153 times, but same violation touched the mark of 860 in 2017 and so for during the current year 1046 incidents of ceasefire violation has been reported.

Similarly, in 2014, compared to 222 incidents of infiltration, 406 infiltration attempts have been reported during the last year. He said that these figures themselves are a proof of Modi's weak policy for protecting the borders of the state. He said that on the one hand the ceasefire violation and infiltration attempts are increasing due to the weak policies of the BJP government while on other hand Modi Government had included the newly formed company in Rafael fighter deal which leads to a major threat to the security concerns of country.
