Koneru Humpy News: Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Monday congratulated Koneru Humpy for securing a Bronze medal in the women’s section of the 2025 FIDE World Rapid Chess Championship.
PM Modi, hailing the 38-year-old for her achievement in a post on his X, wrote, "Her dedication towards the game is commendable. Best wishes for the endeavours ahead."
Koneru Humpy holds the World Rapid Championship titles 2019 and 2024.
Deputy CMO, Andhra Pradesh, also congratulated Indian Grandmaster Humpy Koneru.
“Congratulations to Indian Grandmaster @humpy_koneru, the defending champion, on winning the bronze medal at the FIDE World Rapid Championship. Your consistency at the highest level reflects true excellence, bringing pride to India and inspiring countless young minds across the nation,” the Deputy CMO wrote in a post on X.
