Punjab News: Young mother found murdered in Gopal Nagar, Bathinda; investigation underway
According to the police, the woman had suffered a neck injury caused by a sharp weapon.
Punjab News: The body of a woman who had reportedly gone missing was found in an empty plot with an injury to her neck, police said.
The woman, who was also a mother of a child, worked at a private company’s showroom in Bathinda and used to go to work daily. However, she did not return home yesterday.
Police began the investigation after the family failed to trace her. The body was later found in an empty plot, said SP City Narinder Singh of the Canal Police Station.
According to the police, the woman had suffered a neck injury caused by a sharp-edged weapon.
As per the police, the husband stated that the woman had been married for a few years. The couple had a love marriage and have a two-year-old child. The woman was living in a rented house in Gopal Nagar, Bathinda. It is currently unclear whether the husband was living with her.
The husband has provided the names of individuals he suspects to be involved in the case to the police.
Police said the case is being investigated from various angles and assured that the matter will be solved soon.
