Punjab Weather Update Latest News: As the winter season begins to settle in, many states in Northern India, including Punjab, are experiencing a sudden drop in temperatures, forcing residents to don warm clothing. Simultaneously, the Meteorological Department has issued heavy rain alerts for several states, including Kerala and Karnataka. In contrast, Delhi-NCR continues to grapple with poor air quality.

The Meteorological Department predicts that today, Saturday, October 28, the maximum temperature in Punjab, Chandigarh, Haryana, and the national capital Delhi will reach 32 degrees Celsius, while the minimum temperature is expected to drop to 16 degrees. 

Although the day's temperature increased by 0.6 degrees Celsius due to dry weather, it still remains close to the seasonal norm. Gurdaspur recorded the highest temperature at 32 degrees Celsius, and the Meteorological Department anticipates dry weather in Punjab for the next six days with no significant change in the maximum temperature.

The maximum temperatures across major cities in Punjab have displayed variations, with Amritsar at 30.2°C, Ludhiana at 29.9°C, Patiala at 31.7°C, Pathankot at 31.6°C, Faridkot at 30.0°C, Gurdaspur at 32.0°C, Barnala at 30.1°C, Fatehgarh Sahib at 30.9°C, Faridkot at 31.9°C, Muktsar Sahib at 30.9°C, and Jalandhar at 30.2°C.

Conversely, the minimum mercury levels in these cities have been recorded as follows: Amritsar at 16.2°C, Ludhiana at 16.7°C, Patiala at 16.1°C, Pathankot at 15.2°C, Barnala at 15.5°C, Faridkot at 17.8°C, Fatehgarh Sahib at 15.8°C, Ferozepur at 16.1°C, Gurdaspur at 14.16°C, Jalandhar at 16.13°C, and Muktsar at 16.10°C.
