Haryana Chief Minister Nayab Singh Saini Extends Help To Punjab As It Faces Floods Latest News: Haryana Chief Minister Nayab Singh Saini, on Thursday, wrote to Punjab CM Bhagwant Mann, extending help and assistance to Punjab as the state faces a devastating situation due to floods.

In the letter directed to Punjab CM Bhagwant Mann, Haryana Chief Minister wrote, “I am deeply saddened to learn about the difficulties caused by the flood situation in Punjab. Our brothers and sisters of Punjab are suffering a lot in this natural disaster.”

The letter further stated that the Haryana government and the people of Haryana stand with Punjab in this difficult time. “If you need any kind of help - relief material, rescue teams, medical assistance or other resources, please feel free to let me know,” it added.

Haryana Chief Minister assured Punjab of providing it with all possible help wherever needed.

“Our aim is to provide relief to every person affected in this hour of crisis as soon as possible,” the letter added.

100 villages in Gurdaspur are already inundated. Water levels continue to rise in Sadda Sheikha and Magar Muddia villages, located in Gurdaspur district. Magar Muddia village is about 6.5–7 kilometers away from the raging Ravi river, which has been flooded due too by the same river. Nearly all surrounding villages are inundated.

Relief and rescue operations are underway in respective places.
