Punjab School Timings to Change from March 1
The timing of primary and upper primary schools has been changed from March 1 to March 31
Punjab school timings change news: In a major development, the timings of schools in Punjab are set to change from March 1, 2024. Orders in this regard have been issued by the Punjab's Education Department. This order will be reportedly applicable to all government, private, aided and recognized schools of the state.
According to information, there are around 19,000 government schools in the state and more than 30 lakh students are studying in these educational institutions. At the same time, there are more than 10,000 private schools.
There have been changes in the timings of government, private aided and recognized schools of Punjab. School timings will change from March 1. As per the orders of Punjab Government School Education Department, the timing of primary and upper primary schools has been changed from March 1 to March 31.
According to the information, all the schools will open from 8.30 am to 2.30 pm and the timings of Middle High/Senior Secondary schools will be from 8.30 am to 2.50 pm.
It may be recalled the Punjab government had earlier changed the timings of the schools during the winters when the cold wave had gripped the state.
