Chandigarh-MARCH 27: The Civil Writ Petition filed by Deepanshu Bansal of Mansa, (who alleged that he had reached at the gate of the examination Hall of St Xavier Senior Secondary School, Phase-3, Modal Town, Bathinda, on 2.3.2019, for appearing in English Paper of 12th Class, at 10.03 AM (AT GATE NO.1), but he was  allegedly not allowed to enter the Examination Hall by the Principal-cum-Centre Supdt of the said School,

which is affiliated with CBSE, resulting into loss of full one year of his educational career, as he is to seek admission into MBBS Course, on the basis of NEET Result) came up for resumed hearing today before the HC Bench of Justice Tehinder Singh Dhindsa. The footage of CCTV cameras installed at the Gate no.4 and Gate No.1 of the examination centre was produced by the School Management today, and examination thereof by the Counsels for petitioner and also the State Counsel revealed that footage of CCTV Camera installed at Gate No.4 for the crucial period from 9.47 AM to 10.26 AM was missing.

It is to be noticed that claim of the petitioner was that he had reached at Gate No.4 of examination centre at 10.00 AM sharp, but he was told by security men to go to Gate No.1 of the Examination Centre, and he got delayed by 2.30 minutes in reaching gate no.1, where he was refused entry on account of being late by 2.30 minutes. In view of the new revelation from missing CCTV footage for crucial period, the Bench has directed the respondents, including School management, to file their detailed reply to the CWP, while adjourning the case to 11.4.2019 for further proceedings.
