CM Mann Delivers Unprecedented Development, Historic Healthcare, and Agricultural Revival Across Punjab
Chandigarh: Punjab Chief Minister Bhagwant Singh Mann on Sunday reaffirmed that the state is witnessing unprecedented all-round development, with large-scale projects underway to accelerate growth in every sector. Reviewing ongoing works in the Dirbha assembly segment, CM Mann said these projects are being executed in the larger public interest and to give a decisive push to Punjab’s developmental journey.
He assured that there is no shortage of funds for public welfare, with more initiatives set to be launched in the coming days. “Every project we take up is designed to uplift people’s lives and strengthen Punjab’s progress,” he said.
Highlighting a major breakthrough in the agriculture sector, CM Mann announced that canal water is now reaching the remotest villages at the tail ends of the state—eliminating the need for tubewell-based paddy transplantation. Since taking office, the government has revived 15,947 water channels, ensuring fair distribution of Punjab’s water resources and preventing diversion to other states. Farmers, he said, are now enjoying uninterrupted electricity and water supply, bringing visible smiles back to their faces.
In a landmark welfare achievement, CM Mann unveiled details of the Mukh Mantri Sehat Yojna—India’s first state-level scheme providing cashless medical treatment up to Rs 10 lakh per family. This historic initiative positions Punjab as a leader in universal healthcare, offering comprehensive coverage to every resident and significantly reducing the financial burden on households.
Reiterating agriculture as a top priority, CM Mann pledged continued efforts to make farming profitable. He said his government will leave no stone unturned in ensuring farmers’ prosperity and rural upliftment.
During the visit, CM Mann struck a personal connection with villagers, describing them as “very close to my heart” and emphasising his commitment to their welfare. He also handed over a cheque worth Rs 1.76 crore to the village panchayat to further accelerate local development.
“Our mission is clear—development without compromise, welfare without delay, and growth without discrimination,” CM Mann said, marking the occasion as another step forward in Punjab’s transformation journey.
