Yellow, Orange Alerts Issued for Several Districts of Punjab for Thunderstorm/Lightning & Moderate Rain
Punjab weather updates today: The Chandigarh Meteorological Department on Wednesday issued yellow and orange alerts for eight districts of Punjab, warning of thunderstorm/lightning with moderate rain, valid up to 12:32 IST today, 25 June 2025.
The above-mentioned weather conditions are likely to affect parts of Patiala, S.A.S. Nagar, Jalandhar, Kapurthala, Tarn Taran, Amritsar, Gurdaspur, and Hoshiarpur.
Yesterday, about 20 hours prior to the publication of this report, the India Meteorological Department (IMD) stated that conditions are favourable for the further advance of the southwest monsoon over some more parts of Punjab, Rajasthan, Haryana, Delhi, and the remaining parts of western Uttar Pradesh during the next 36 hours.
