CHANDIGARH: The Punjab government led by Chief Minister Bhagwant Mann has provided 28,873 government jobs to the youth of the state during the first year of its tenure, as a result of which the youth of the state are leaving the idea of settling abroad.

Rupinderjit Bains, who got a job as a clerk in the Public Works Department, village Bhaini, district Rupnagar, said that the Punjab government has secured the future of thousands of youth of the state by giving them employment. She said that instead of going abroad, young boys and girls who get jobs will spend their lives in Punjab and will contribute to the service of the people of Punjab and make the state 'Rangla Punjab'.

Rupinderjit Bains said, "I have fulfilled my parents' dream by getting a government job. My father is a retired head teacher and it was his heartfelt wish that I should be educated and stand on my own feet. The Punjab government has empowered me by giving me a government job. With this, I can help my family financially."
