Her remarkable journey and dedication to athletics are a testament to the power of passion and determination.

Hailing from a modest background, Neha's family resides in a humble two and a half marla house in the Raj Nagar area of the city. The household, consisting of five members, including Neha's father, Biresh Singh, have always supported her dreams and aspirations. Biresh Singh himself works in a rubber factory at Basti Bawa Khel, earning a monthly salary of Rs 10,000, while Neha's mother, who used to work as a house cleaner, now earns a livelihood by working in a football manufacturing factory, drawing a monthly salary of Rs 5,000.

Despite the financial challenges, Neha's passion for athletics has driven her to excel in various senior and junior championships, securing an impressive collection of over 15 medals. Her exceptional talent caught the attention of the sports community, leading to her selection for the upcoming World University Games. In the Games, Neha is determined to make her mark in the 400m hurdles and 400m race events.

Supporting Neha's journey to success, Guru Nanak Dev University (GNDU) has stepped up by covering the fee of Rs 1.87 lakhs required for her participation in the games. Additionally, her coach, Sunil Kamboj, a former income tax inspector who now resides in the US, has been instrumental in guiding Neha to hone her skills and achieve her full potential. Satinder Bajwa, a fellow athlete, has generously provided Neha with the necessary athletic spikes.

SP Sandeep Singh Mand, who is currently posted in Amritsar, has also played a crucial role in Neha's journey. His support includes providing essential equipment such as sports boots, which are vital for her performance on the track.

Speaking about her upcoming challenge, Neha expressed her determination to give her best at the World University Games and expressed her heartfelt gratitude towards all those who have supported her along the way.

"Skill is never dependent on financial prosperity. If you have the passion and ability to pursue your dreams, nothing can stop you from making them come true," Neha stated, inspiring others to overcome obstacles and chase their aspirations relentlessly.
