India’s First: MP Satnam Sandhu Launches 12-Language AI Portal to Track Punjab’s Needs
Rajya Sabha MP Satnam Singh Sandhu on Friday launched India’s first AI-enabled web portal, https://satnamsandhu.in, upon marking the completion of two years in the Upper House. The platform aims to transform citizen engagement and strengthen participatory governance by using artificial intelligence to detect, classify, and prioritise public grievances.
According to the report, the portal analyses issues in urban and rural sectors, including health, infrastructure, education, and women’s safety, using emotion detection to assess urgency through expressions of distress or anger.
Supporting 12 Indian languages, the site is designed for accessibility across literacy levels and includes an MP Performance Dashboard for transparent tracking of Sandhu’s parliamentary work.
Sandhu, nominated by the President in January 2024, has maintained 100 per cent attendance across four sessions.
Data shows he has asked 150 questions, 54 specifically concerning Punjab issues like MSP, narcotics, and water pollution, and introduced four Private Member Bills.
Launching the initiative, Sandhu invited public suggestions for the Union Budget 2026–27. He said that the portal will help identify priority issues to raise in Parliament. He described the move as a step toward transparent and inclusive governance for citizens in Punjab and across India.
