Special trains will run from three different cities in Punjab to Ayodhya in Uttar Pradesh in February.

Punjab, Chandigarh to Ayodhya Special Train: Ram Mandir in Ayodhya has been inaugurated and the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) has announced the operation of special trains from Punjab to facilitate the pilgrimage. Over 1.5 lakh individuals have already expressed their interest across the local BJP units.

According to information, the special trains will run from three different cities in Punjab to Ayodhya in Uttar Pradesh in February. 

Two trains will run from Pathankot and one each from Chandigarh and Nangal Dam. While the first train will leave from Pathankot on February 9 at 7.05 am and reach Ayodhya Cantt on February 10 at 02.55 am and, simultaneously, leave Ayodhya on February 11 at 12.40 am and reach Pathankot at 7 pm. The second travel from Pathankot to Ayodhya is from February 23 to 26.

Similarly, the second train will depart from Nangal Dam on February 12 at 7 am, and arrive at Ayodhya Cantt on February 13 at 02.55 am, while it will return on February 14 at 12.40 am and reach Nangal Dam at 4.45 pm.

Likewise, the train would leave Chandigarh on February 19 at 10.20 am and reach Ayodhya Cantt on February 20 while it will begin its return journey from Ayodhya on Feb 21 at 12.40 am and reach Chandigarh by 4.05 pm. 

Reportedly, each train will be accommodating 1,100-1,200 passengers, who will be charged in the range of Rs 1,000-1,500. This will include travel, boarding, and lodging responsibilities.

It has also been reported Local BJP units are currently compiling lists of pilgrims for the special trains.
