Authorities Take Action Against Drug Traffickers as Part of Ongoing Crackdown

FEROZEPUR: In a significant development, the Ferozepur District Police has successfully attached illegal property worth Rs. 41,66,472 belonging to Harnam Singh, son of Peshawar Singh and a resident of Palla Megha, Police Station Sadar, Ferozepur District. This action has been taken in connection with his involvement in drug trafficking activities, as per the provisions of the Narcotic Drugs and Psychotropic Substances (NDPS) Act of 1985. The police have initiated the process of seizing assets related to 13 other drug traffickers as well.

As part of their unwavering commitment to combat the scourge of drug addiction, the Ferozepur District Police is rigorously pursuing measures to curtail illegal drug trade. Reports indicate that efforts are also underway to attach the properties of an additional 15 individuals involved in drug trafficking. These actions are in line with the directives from the Punjab Government and the Director General of Police (DGP) Punjab, who have made it a priority to eliminate drug-related activities in the region.
