Hoshiarpur: Punjab Chief Minister Capt Amarinder Singh today termed the killing of an innocent 6-year-old girl in Jalalpur village after she was brutally burnt to death.
He said that the accused in this case have been arrested and Punjab Police has been directed to ensure proper investigation of the matter. Capt Amarinder Singh said that the matter would be done in fast trial. He said that exemplary punishments would be given to the culprits.
Captain Amarinder tweeted: "Extremely sad and shocking incident of rape & murder of 6 year old in Hoshiarpur. Though Police have arrested the accused, have directed DGP to ensure proper investigation & that challan is presented speedily. Call for fast trial & exemplary punishment to the guilty by the Court."
It may be recalled that Surjit Singh and Surpreet Singh, the grandchildren who had burnt an innocent 6-year-old girl to death after committing a heinous act, have been arrested.
Confirming the arrest of the two accused, DSP Tanda Daljit Singh said that Surpreet Singh lured the innocent girl Reena (fictional name) and took her to his mansion, where he first raped the girl and then burned her alive.
