Man Arrested with Drone and 2 kg Heroin in Tarn Taran, Punjab
Accused, identified as Jugraj Singh has been taken into custody
TARN TARAN: In a significant breakthrough, the Tarn Taran district police have apprehended an individual in possession of a drone and a staggering 2 kgs of heroin. The accused, identified as Jugraj Singh hailing from the village of Bhaggupur in Amritsar district, has been taken into custody following a meticulously planned operation. Adding to the evidence, the police have also seized the accused's Splendor motorcycle.
Sources reveal that the arrest unfolded during the late hours of last night. The suspect, Jugraj Singh, was intercepted by the police at a blockade as he was transporting the contraband using his motorcycle. The police promptly carried out the arrest, preventing the illegal substances from reaching their intended destination.
Jugraj Singh now faces charges under the Narcotic Drugs and Psychotropic Substances (NDPS) Act, as well as the Aircraft Act due to the involvement of the drone in his illicit activities. The case has been officially registered at the Sarai Amanat Khan police station, marking a stern response to the ongoing battle against drug trafficking and related offenses.
