The Secretariat has directed the Punjab DGP to furnish the required documents on or before 28 January 2026.

Delhi Assembly Secretariat writes to Punjab DGP, seeks pending documents in Atishi video clip case

The Delhi Legislative Assembly Secretariat has written to the Director General of Police (DGP), Punjab, seeking the submission of documents earlier sought in connection with an FIR registered by the Jalandhar Police Commissionerate over a video clip involving AAP leader and Leader of Opposition in the Delhi Assembly, Atishi.

In a letter dated 23 January 2026, Secretary of the Delhi Legislative Assembly Secretariat, Ranjeet Singh, referred to the FIR registered in Jalandhar Police Commissionerate regarding the video clip of Atishi.

“This is with reference to your letter No. 385/PS/DGP/PB dated 21.01.2026 on the above subject and in reply to Notice dated 10.01.2026. Your reply, alongwith the comments of the Commissioner of Police Jalandhar enclosed therewith, has been placed before the Hon'ble Speaker for further directions,” the letter stated.

“However it is observed that the additional information / documents sought vide Notice dated 10.01.2026 have not been provided,” it added.

The Secretariat has directed the Punjab DGP to furnish the required documents on or before 28 January 2026.

The documents sought include:

  • Copy of the complaint and enclosures on the basis of which the FIR was registered
  • Copy of the FIR filed in this regard
  • Copy of the report of the Social Media Expert, Technical Cell, Punjab Police
  • Copy of the report of the Forensic Science Laboratory, Punjab

The letter has been issued with the approval of the  Speaker of the Delhi Legislative Assembly, it said.
